    • Permits/certificates 
    • Many products require certification. It is your responsibility to know and procure the appropriate certificates. Information can be found in the Farmers' Market Manual and Resource Guide.

      Either the Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) or the Produce Best Practice Training (PBPT) certificates is required to have a sampling certificate. PBPT is a Kentucky-specific voluntary basic food safety training available through local extension offices. This program is a prerequisite for sampling certificates and a good idea for anyone growing produce.

    • The Jessamine Occupational Tax Office states: "Vendors are required to fill out a form that gives the vendor an account number." This is a free service. Visit The Jessamine County Tax Administrator Webpage for more information. Use the Jessamine County/City of Nicholasville Questionnaire for Occupational License Fee Account form to register for a business license fee account.

      Note: You DO NOT need to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy from the Nicholasville Planning Commission.

    • Duration of the Agreement: This agreement applies to the current Nicholasville Farmers' Market season only and in no way implies acceptance to the Nicholasville Farmers' Market in the future.

    • Your annual membership payment must be included: $75 for single booth space (12’x12’) / additional $50 for second booth space. If you are currently in FFA, your membership fee is $50 for a single booth and $25 for a second booth space. You will owe a 4% gate fee for your total monthly sales, due by the 4th day of the following month.

      Your application will be presented to the membership committee for review. The membership committee will review your application but the market reserves the right to refuse membership to anyone. The Membership Committee will notify you of their decision as soon as possible and schedule your farm/home visits.
