Tuition is a monthly rate based on enrollment level and includes four scheduled classes per month for each weekly class the dancer is enrolled in. Tuition is not calculated by the number of calendar weeks in a month. Some months may include a fifth week, which may be used for make-ups, rehearsals, enrichment, community programming, breaks, or other scheduling needs so families receive equitable opportunities across the season.

Dance Dues are collected on the 1st of every month via APPLE PAY, PAYPAL, or CASH APP.

    What's included:

_Four scheduled classes per month for each weekly class your dancer is enrolled in.

_Additional workshops and classes throughout the season

    _One live dance performance

    _Community building activities

    _Field trips

    _Additional leadership and performance opportunities

ICDC does not offer dance classes a la carte. Dancers are registered and charged monthly.

  • ICDC Community Commitment

  • Community building is one of ICDC’s core pillars. Tuition supports dance instruction, and maintaining an accessible, community-centered program also depends on family participation.

For full-tuition families, the standard Community Commitment is approximately one hour per month per family, not per child. Families may contribute through front-desk or lobby support, studio organization or light setup/cleanup, bringing approved snacks or water for designated events, helping at performances or community events, approved fundraising or outreach support, Parent/Family Meetings & Parent Committee, or other studio-approved needs.

When ICDC announces specifically designated community or family events, attendance at those events may also count toward this commitment. Families are encouraged to choose from the available opportunities that fit their schedules and abilities.

If a family cannot reasonably volunteer time in a given month, they may contribute instead to the ICDC Community Support Fund for practical community needs such as performance snacks and water, event supplies, student support, and community programming. Suggested contribution amounts for specific needs or events will be communicated by ICDC.

  • I understand that ICDC is a community-centered program and that my family is asked to contribute approximately one hour per month through service, participation, or an approved community-support contribution. I understand that opportunities will vary throughout the season and ICDC will communicate ways my family can participate.*
  • Which ways are you most interested and able to contribute?
  • NEW THIS YEAR: Choosing the Right Class Level

ICDC is moving away from Level 1/2/3 labels. We now place dancers in Beginner, Intermediate, Intermediate/Advanced, and Advanced based on training needs.

Placement is not based on age. ICDC considers experience, technical foundation, readiness, commitment, and training goals. Dancers may be at different levels in different disciplines. Years of experience are guidelines, not strict eligibility rules.

BEGINNER — Building the Foundation: Brand-new dancers, or generally those with about 1–2 years of experience. Focused on body awareness, musicality, vocabulary, coordination, confidence, and strong foundational technique. Beginner does not mean easy; it means intentionally building the skills dancers need to grow.

INTERMEDIATE — Strengthening the Dancer: Generally for dancers with about 3–4+ years of consistent training who understand foundational vocabulary and technique. Emphasis on detailed technical training, conditioning, more complex combinations, musicality, and blending strong technique with artistry/performance quality.

INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED — Bridging Training & Performance: For dancers with a strong technical base who are ready for greater complexity, stamina, artistry, performance quality, and personal responsibility. This level bridges intermediate training and the expectations of advanced/pre-professional work.

ADVANCED — Pre-Professional Training: ICDC’s highest level of training. Dancers approach class with pre-professional discipline, consistency, and focus. Training emphasizes advanced technique, artistry, versatility, conditioning, performance quality, and professional expectations. Many dancers at this level are ICDC Dance Ensemble members and may represent ICDC at performances, productions, community events, and special opportunities. Advanced does not mean older; placement is based on demonstrated technique, maturity, commitment, readiness, and desired rigor of training.

Not sure where your dancer belongs? Please attend an ICDC Open House so we can meet your dancer, discuss experience and goals, and recommend the right training path. Our goal is not to rush dancers through levels, but to give each dancer the training, confidence, artistry, and foundation needed for their next step.

  • Tuition, Fees & Enrollment Policies

  • Tuition is billed monthly and is due on the 1st of each month.

Tuition covers the student’s reserved enrollment and scheduled instruction for that month and remains due regardless of absences, vacations, missed classes, or the student choosing not to attend. Regular tuition is not prorated or refunded for student absences.

Payments received after the 1st are late. A $15 late fee is added when tuition remains unpaid after the 5th of the month. If the account remains unpaid after the 15th, an additional $15 late fee is added, for a maximum of $30 in routine late fees for that month. ICDC may pause a student’s participation after the 15th until the account is brought current or a payment arrangement has been approved. Families experiencing hardship are encouraged to contact ICDC before the due date to discuss an approved arrangement.

Payments, registration fees, performance fees, costume payments, and other program fees are non-refundable unless ICDC cancels the applicable program or event, or explicitly approves an exception.

Enrollment continues month-to-month during the season. A family wishing to withdraw for the following month must give ICDC written notice at least 14 calendar days before the first day of that next month. Once a new month begins, that month’s tuition is owed in full and is non-refundable. For example, to avoid being charged for October, written withdrawal notice must be received at least 14 days before October 1.

Participating dancers will have a $50 performance fee per applicable performance or production. This fee does not include costumes.

Beginning this season, families purchase and pay for their dancer’s required costumes separately based on the dancer’s enrolled classes and roles, and the dancer keeps those costumes. Costume costs will vary by class or production and will be communicated before purchase when practical. Costume payments are non-refundable once ordered or purchased. Parents who want input into costume selection are encouraged to participate in the ICDC Parent Committee; final artistic, safety, budget, and production decisions remain with ICDC.
