    Spa Liz & Co. does all bikini waxing/sugaring while on your period. You must arrive freshly showered with a fresh tampon with string tucked in, or a Diva cup must be worn. You can be more sensitive and tender when waxing/sugaring. Because of water retention and your own personal comfort, you should avoid hair removal 2 days before and 2 days after your cycle is due.

    Post Treatment/Home Care 

    To ensure maximum comfort and benefit after the treatment it is important to follow the steps below at home:

    • Avoid applying heat to the waxed/sugared area for up to 24 hours. This includes hot baths, sauna, and steam.
    • Avoid suntanning for up to 24 hours. This includes any strong ultraviolet (UV) light exposure or tanning bed treatments.
    • Avoid applying high SPF sunblocks to the waxed/sugared area for up to 24 hours after your waxing/sugaring service. Sunscreen chemicals can be irritating to newly waxed/sugared skin. This includes self-tanning products and tan accelerators.
    • Avoid applying any highly fragranced products to the waxed/sugared area. This includes perfume, scented body lotions, antiperspirants, cosmetics, or feminine hygiene sprays. Use only the professional products recommended to you by the skincare therapist who performed the waxing/sugaring service.
    • Avoid using harsh or abrasive exfoliants in the waxed/sugared area. Start the recommended home care 48-72 hours post-waxing/sugaring. Continue using the recommended products 2-3 times per week until your next appointment.
    • Any pinking of the skin should disappear within 6-8 hours after your treatment. Slight pinking is normal and indicates that the hair was removed from the root, rather than superficially broken off, as in shaving. This is the reason that professional waxing/sugaring lasts so much longer.
    • For breakouts, use an anti-acne lotion for the face, back, or chest following the treatment and twice a day until breakouts are gone. Use only the anti-acne product recommended by your skincare professional.
    • Please note that waxing/sugaring does have certain side effects such as skin removal (lifting), redness, swelling, tenderness, etc.
    • For best results, repeat your professional waxing every 5-6 weeks and sugaring every 3-4 weeks, depending on the area and your individual hair growth rate.

    • All appts are confirmed with a credit card on file.
    • Failure to submit a Health Intake Form within 72 hrs after booking may result in cancellation of the appointment.
    • Forms can be found on the service and scheduling page.
    • As a courtesy, we do try to send forms via SMS. However, if you don’t receive one, please go www.spalizandco.com/scheduling to fill it out.
    • It is up to the client to fill out the form(s) correctly and completely. Policies are still enforced even if forms are not completed and returned.
    • 24-hour notice of cancellation is required before your appointment.
    • If an appointment is canceled within 24-hours, 50% of the total service fees will be charged to the credit card on file, or an invoice will be sent before another appointment can be made. 
    • Failure to give 24-hour notice or a No Show/No Call will result in 100% of the service fees being charged to the credit card on file or invoice sent before another appointment can be made.
    • If late for an appointment (varies depending on appointment length), it will still end on time, or the appointment will be canceled and full payment required.
    • All packages expire one year from the purchase date unless otherwise noted.
    • All sales are final on products, services, and packages. Therefore, they are non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be substituted.
    • No one besides who the appointment is for is allowed in the spa. You will be asked to reschedule and pay the service cancellation fee if the accompanying person can not wait outside.
    • Minors receiving service must have a legal custodian/parent. Please see FAQ for more information regarding minors.
