Following the Holy Scriptures as stated in Acts 6, we are following the Holy Spirit and request the congregation to look out amongst yourselves for individuals who you feel would be appropriate candidates to serve as Deacons.

Understanding the needs of our growing and changing congregation, the Deacons Ministry at Allen Temple Baptist Church has elected to onboard a Deacons class of men and women in the Fall of 2024. To ensure transparency in our process and that we are receiving candidates from every area of our congregation, this process will be managed electronically.

We ask that you pray and meditate on the following scriptures prior to making a nomination: Acts 6:1; Timothy 3:1-4; Titus 1:5-9.

The nomination period will be open from August 18 through September 15, 2024. Nominations will not be accepted after this time frame.

Mininum of three years Christian experience
Active Allen Temple Baptist Church member
Served as a member of an Allen Temple Baptist Church ministry for at least two years
Active tither contributing cheerfully and regularly to the support of the ministry
