Task Assignment System within Ujima Collective, and COLLABOR8 we believe in the power of collaboration and shared responsibility. To ensure effective operations and equitable distribution of tasks, we have implemented a task assignment system where each member contributes to the collective effort. Our task assignment process involves assigning different responsibilities to each member based on their skills, interests, and availability. By sharing tasks among members, we not only lighten the workload but also foster a sense of community and teamwork within the collective. Tasks may include event planning, workshop facilitation, space maintenance (cleaning bathrooms), financial management, and more. Members are encouraged to communicate their preferences and strengths to help us allocate tasks in a way that maximizes everyone's potential and engagement. Through our task assignment system, we aim to promote accountability, efficiency, and mutual support among our members. By working together and sharing responsibilities, we create a dynamic and inclusive environment where everyone has a voice and a valuable role to play in the success of the Ujima Collective, and COLLABOR8. Do you agree with the above mentioned?
Set-Up & Cleaning After Events: In the event of a Collective Member preparing for their gathering, workshops, or class - a set-up and clean-up is required.
Maintaining Member's Area: When a member is not in their area. It is imperative that said area is to be clean.
We Are A Recycle Conscious Facility: It's imperative to minimize any rodents, ants, cock roaches, etc. No trash cans are to be in your area. There will be central recycle bins for your trash as food, glass, cans, paper & etc.
Sweat Equity: Collective members have an option to contribute sweat equity as a form of exchange instead of financial expenses. Rent can not be applied. The more time invested in assisting, the more perks you may receive. Members are required to keep track of these hours within our volunteer book. These hours will go towards providing "free" internet service, or access to areas within the facility without paying. This is still under discussion.
Bi-Monthly Collective Meeting: To ensure smooth operations and collaboration, bi-monthly member meetings are scheduled for reviewing past events and planning upcoming activities for the month. At these meetings, the schedule is being coordinated. The 1st and the 14th of the month for meetings. We promote a supportive and inclusive environment for all our members to thrive in their creative pursuits while contributing to the collective's shared goals.
Drug-free Environment: The Collective does not accept drug use within its facility. Team members participating in events and activities organized under this collaboration are expected to adhere to a drug-free policy.
Implementation: Both parties will work together to coordinate and facilitate the participation of team members in income-generating opportunities, ensuring mutual support and collaboration while maintaining a drug-free environment.
Respectful Environment: LPI and the Collective commit to fostering a respectful environment for all team members. Any sexual, age, or other discriminative, harassing, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated during the collaboration. In the event, an elder, community council, and collective members will require an emergency meeting to review and make immediate recommendations.
Reciprocal Gesture: It is agreed that when Literacy Project International and The Recycle Challenge and its programming invite collective members to vend to generate exposure and or income, the same opportunity for income generation will be extended back to Literacy Project International and its programming.
Implementation: Both parties will work together to coordinate and facilitate the participation of team members in income-generating opportunities, ensuring mutual support and collaboration.
Spread The Word: We ask members to share with others our daily drop in rates, to our monthly collective rates to utilize our space. Rates for drop-in will be available.
Regular Use Limitation: Only the person or persons listed on the lease are permitted to utilize the shared space regularly. This ensures accountability and control over access to the facility. Guest Policy: Associates of the leaseholder who require space for meetings are welcome as guests within the Collective. However, they are limited to their first visit as a guest. Subsequent visits will require them to utilize the space during free drop-in days, subject to a drop-in rate of $4.00 per day. $6.00 per day with internet usage. Drop-In Rate: Any associates visiting the Collective after their initial guest visit must pay a drop-in rate to utilize the shared space on free drop-in days. This rate will be communicated and agreed upon by both parties in advance.
