Please note that we are a learning community and not a traditional school. Our approach is to enable students to be Inspired, to Inquire, Imagine and Impact the world. We do this through offering both academic and experiencial learning programs and providing different pathways for children preparing for middle or secondary schooling and beyond. Accreditation is optional.

Learning Journey

We welcome children from around the world and all walks of life. In order to meet with the diverse needs, please describe the student's learning journey to date as well as areas that the student may be interested in exploring further.

Things to consider sharing include: areas they particularly enjoyed or found challenging, preferred learning styles - interactive, games based, formal instruction, research, role-plays, learning in teams or individually, topics or experiences where they have shown heightened interest, strategies that have been supportive in more challenging moments, etc.

Waivers and Authorisations
(A) I confirm that I have read and agree with the below Waiver and Authorisation and further re-affirm that my child is covered by a suitable medical insurance policy for the entire duration of the enrollment period.*

Student Waiver Form

For enrolment at Osa Jungle Academy (OJA) we require that each child carry an appropriate insurance policy. In the event of an accident parents will be contacted according to the information provided in the enrolment form. It is the parent or guardian’s responsibility to inform OJA of any ongoing changes to emergency contact information.

YOUR SIGNATURE AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING:
- I acknowledge and understand there are risks of personal injury involved in activities for which I have enrolled my child at OJA and for which I have agreed to accept responsibility.
- In consideration of my child being allowed to participate in any and all of these activities, I for myself, my heirs, executors, and administrators, assign and do waive, release, and discharge any and all rights, demands, or claims for damage, theft and cause of suit or action, known or unknown by facility employees, property owners or agents due to any acts or omissions.
- For any or all injuries and mishaps in any manner resulting from such participation I will through my own resources, including insurance benefits, assume and pay my associated medical and emergency expenses in the event of accident or illness.
- In the event of illness or injury where a parent, legal guardian or other emergency contact cannot be contacted, I do hereby consent to whatever x-ray, examination, anaesthetic, medical, surgical, dental diagnosis/treatment, hospital care and emergency transportation may be considered necessary in the best judgment of the attending physician, surgeon or dentist.
(B) I also confirm that my child has met the health requirements set out by the Costa Rican government and have the necessary documentation in the event that these are required for presentation.*
