DEPOSIT: A non-refundable deposit of $3,000.00 (three thousand dollars) is required to begin the Special Master/Parenting Plan Coordinator process. Unless otherwise stipulated or ordered, these fees are divided equally between the parents ($1,500.00each parent). If one parent does not pay, the funds will be refunded to the parent who has paid. This deposit includes reviewing with the parents and their attorneys the Parenting Plan Coordinator process, reviewing previous court documents including any custody evaluations, declarations, the court file, mediator’s memos etc., setting up the new file, and telephone consultations with professionals such as previous evaluators and/or therapists who have been involved in the case. Monies remaining will be credited toward future sessions.
SESSIONS: Each session is billed at the rate of $200.00 (two hundred dollars). Sessions are 50 minutes to one hour in length and the fee is fixed regardless of how many persons are involved in the sessions. Sessions involving children, for example, are also billed at the rate of $200.00 (two hundred dollars).
TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS AND EMAIL CORRESPONDENCE WITH ATTORNEYS OR PARENTS: Telephone consultations or email correspondence with attorneys are permissible if both attorneys are involved. Telephone consultations are billed at the rate of $50 each 15 minutes with a 15-minute minimum. Additional minutes are rounded up to the next increment of 15 minutes. It is the same fee schedule for email correspondence.
EXPERT TESTIMONY AND DEPOSITIONS: There is a minimum charge of $3,000.00(three thousand dollars) to testify for the a.m. or p.m. portion whether it is for one minute, the entire a.m. or p.m. session or Mr. Rosen is not called at all. The fee for the entire day (a.m. & p.m. sessions or up to 8 hours) is $5,000.00 (five thousand dollars). It is required the fee is paid ten (10) working days before the testimony is given. These charges are made because Mr. Rosen must cancel the patients he had scheduled for this time, review the chart and travel to court. Cancellations or rescheduling with less than three (3) working days’ notice forfeits the fee.
