• Membership Application

  • Thank you for your interest in joining the Victoria Shadow Association.

    Membership is £15 per annum, and generally paid via standing order or by on line transfer (though other methods such as cheque (but not PayPal) are available). By becoming a member of the Association, you will be given a login for the Association Forums. Once a forum account has been created for you, you will have posting rights to all of the forums, as well as access to the Members Only section where links to the technical manuals and other Association information can be found.

    Via this form, you may request Association membership for an additional person; this additional member may be your partner, other family or usual crew member. A Forum login will also be issued to the Additional Member.

    Forum usernames are in the form Firstname_Surname, unless you indicate otherwise to the Honorary Secretary - for instance, while your name may be Charles Stuart, you may prefer a forum username of Charlie_Stuart. The forum operates on real names for usernames, not handles or aliases.

  • Member's Handbook

    We produce a Members’ Handbook that provides members with among other things a list of members and their boats so that they can more easily identify and contact other members whose boats are of interest to them, or whom they may encounter afloat or at events, or who may be located in the same area. This Handbook is only distributed to other members.

    With your consent, we publish in the Members’ Handbook your personal contact details including full address, email and telephone number(s), but if you prefer not to give that consent, we will only include your name, boat details and general location of you and your boat.

    Please state whether or not we may include your personal contact details in the Members’ Handbook.

     

  • PLEASE NOTE

    If you have given your consent above and have requested an additional member who shares any contact details with you (address, telephone number and or email address) a detailed joint entry can only be permitted if your additional member also personally consents to such details being published. They can do this by the additional member personally emailing the Honorary Secretary at info@victoriashadow.co.uk and stating:

    “I [insert forename and surname] am the proposed additional member of [insert applicant’s name] who has applied for membership of Victoria Shadow Association. I have read the section of the application form concerning the Members’ Handbook and also consent to my personal contact details being published in the Handbook”, [or words clearly to this effect].
