  • We do offer a courier collection service for your donated goods. There is a $50+gst collection fee and collection is only within 30km of Thomastown.

    Collections are offered on Mondays - Thursdays between 9 am – 12 pm.

    Once your booking is confirmed, our team will issue you with a payment invoice and confirm the collection date and pick up timeframe. 

    We have a detailed list of all the items we can and can’t rehome to families in need. We ask that you please have a look at our Acceptable Donations List before you make a booking. Please do not donate any items that are not cleaned, in proper working condition, or that do not meet Australian Safety Standards.

    If you prefer to drop off your donation, please let us know when you’re coming to drop off your donation, using this form, as it helps us with planning.

    Please Note: There may be occasions when we have excess stock of a specific item and no storage space to house them; or we have items that we can’t rehome. In this instance, we may offer these items to our sister organisations or choose to sell said items. All funds received from sold items will be re-directed back to Big Group Hug to assist with the purchasing of other much needed items. Our priority, as always, is to ensure that families get all the items they need as quickly as possible. We appreciate your support in helping children and families across Victoria.

  • Before donating, please take a look at our Acceptable Donations List and keep an eye out on our Facebook page for our most needed items. 

    Please note -  BEFORE COLLECTION:

    • All Cots/Prams/Bassinets/High Chairs/Capsules/Car Seats must comply with Australian saftey standards and be in excellent condition. If it does, please ensure that it is cleaned thoroughly and if possible has the original instruction booklet and accessories with it. Unfortunately, we cannot accept them if they do not comply.

    Also:

    • No car seats which have been involved in an accident, and manufactured more than 8 years ago
    • No cots over 10 years old
    • No prams with tears, mould, broken wheels, or broken safety harnesses

    As a not-for-profit that caters specifically to babies, children, and teens, it's our duty (and the law) to adhere to Australian saftey standards, ensuring the items we send out are safe, within their usable date, and in good working condition.

    The purpose of collecting your personal information is to carry out our charitable, aid, and related activities. This includes processing and confirming donations, providing information about how your donation was utilized, keeping you informed about our work, responding to your inquiries, presenting opportunities to support our initiatives, analyzing donor activity for improvement, and preparing our Annual Report.

    We always offer an opt-out option for receiving our email communications. We do not sell nor exchange supporter details.
