Thank you for your interest in joining the School Smart Forest Program with Canada's Forest Trust (CFT).
The School Smart Forest program mobilizes students from schools across Canada to build lasting, generational climate-positive change. As schools fundraise for initiatives, seedlings are accumulated to build and protect forests - from coast to coast to coast.

Students will be empowered as climate leaders through life-changing opportunities such as attending skill-building workshops, networking sessions, learning from experts, connecting with Indigenous youth, accessing scholarships and internships, and engaging with green employers.

Note: $5.50 CDN will cover fees related to the planting and protection of Smart Forests. The remaining balance ($2.50 - $4.50 CDN) will be used by the school for the chosen fundraising initiatives.

By Footprint: Use Canada's Forest Trust's proprietary carbon, net zero, and net negative calculators to determine how many seedlings are needed to offset or exceed your school's carbon footprint: https://www.canadasforesttrust.ca/school-calculator.

By Forest Size: To grow healthy, biodiverse forests, CFT plants a minimum of 1,000 seedlings per acre.

By Fundraising Goal: Tell us how much you hope to raise for your charitable or school initiatives and we will calculate your seedling target for you!
