Psalm 127: 3 - 5 "Children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward.
Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them!"

诗 127:3 - 5 "儿女是耶和华所赐的产业； 所怀的胎是他所给的赏赐。 少年时所生的儿女 好像勇士手中的箭。 箭袋充满的人便为有福"

• Children are a gift from the Lord.  As parents, it is our responsibility to raise them in the fear and the way of the Lord. 孩童是神所赐的礼物。作为家长，存敬畏神的心并照着主的旨意来抚育他们是我们的责任。

• The act of dedication does not make the children Christian.  When the children come of age, they will need to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour. 献婴礼并不是使他们成为基督徒，当他们长大后，他们需要来接受主耶稣基督为他们个人的救主。

• Baby dedication is an occasion witnessed by the congregation in which parents commit their children to God for His care.  However, parents should take upon themselves the responsibility to lead their children to church, and to bring them into a personal relatioship with Christ their Saviour. 献婴礼是让会众来见证家长们把孩子交托给神的看官的一个场合。然而，家长们需要负起引导他们的孩子到主面前的责任，带领他们与救主基督进入亲密的个人关系。
