Application for a Tantrum OPEN Scholarship
Thanks to the Tantrum OPEN Scholarship program, we are able to offer young people facing disadvantage (including social isolation, financial hardship, mental health barriers and/or disability) one year’s (i.e. four school terms) free attendance at our on-site Creative Drama Workshops.
There are two main parts to the OPEN Scholarship application. Parents or carers must fill in this simple Eligibility Form, and they must also supply a Referral Letter (uploaded through this form) from a certified health, education, or social work professional. Please refer to the Applicant Info Pack for more information.
Applications are accepted throughout the year, though they are only reviewed quarterly (in time for the commencement of each Tantrum term – see dates on our Creative Drama Workshop page).
OPEN Scholarship places are limited, though we are always endeavoring to offer more! If we receive more eligible applications than we have scholarships available, we will award scholarships on the basis of who we believe stands to gain the most from attending Tantrum workshops.
Before You Apply!
Please check the days on which our Creative Drama Workshops are run – each day of the week during term time we host a different age group. It is important that you ensure the applicant is available to attend the weekday workshop which is appropriate for their age, and that they are able to do so for a full year (i.e. four school terms).
Monday – Ages 5-8 (K-Y2)
Tuesday – Ages 8-10 (Y3-4)
Wednesday - Ages 12-15 (Y7-9)
Thursday – Ages 10-12 (Y5-6)
Friday - Ages 15-18 (Y10-12)
If you have any questions, or need help with this form please email info@tantrum.org.au or call (02) 4929 7279.
