RHODES HALL HIGH SCHOOL CADET UNIT MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION FORM

The Jamaica Combined Cadet Force is our nation's number one youth movement developing self-disciplined, confident and responsible citizens who contribute significantly to nation-building. The programme is run by the Ministry of National Security for students registered in government high schools across the country. As a student of Rhodes Hall High School in Grade 7, 8, 9 or 10, your child is able to apply to join this programme and begin training to become a stronger leader at school, home and ultimately in the wider society.

The JCCF uses training models similar to those used in the professional military. In fact, some courses in the JCCF are taught by members of the Jamaica Defense Force. Some courses and activities done in the JCCF include hiking, camping, swimming, First Aid, Music, robotics and weapons training. Members of the JCCF perform ceremonial duties at school functions as well as on national memorial days such as Independence Day and Heroes Day.

Medical Waiver & Release Form

I authorize the above-named child to participate in activities of the Jamaica Combined Cadet Force. As a condition of his/her being allowed to do so I, hereby, release and discharge the JCCF, staff and/or local school from any and all claims for personal injuries or property damage that he/she may suffer as a result of his/her participation in group activities whether or not such injuries or damages are caused by the negligence (active or passive) of any of the entities or individuals named or described above. I, hereby, declare that he/she is physically fit and capable of taking part in such activities that are normal to the training programme. I make this warranty and representation on the basis of advice given to me by his/her duly licensed medical doctor within the last twelve months, and I know of no change in his/her medical condition since receiving such advice that would affect the opinion of said medical doctor. In case of medical or surgical necessity or emergency I, hereby, give my permission to the physician selected by JCCF and/or school personnel to provide whatever medical or surgical treatment that is necessary. My child agrees to abide by the rules and regulations governing the Rhodes Hall High School Cadet Unit and to obey any instructions given by the person or persons having supervision and control over the activity.

The Rhodes Hall High School Cadet Unit meets for training at school every Tuesday from 3:10 pm - 4:30 pm and online via Zoom every Sunday from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

I hereby apply for training at the Rhodes Hall High School Cadet Unit to become a member of the Jamaica Combined Cadet Force. I promise to learn and abide by the rules of the organization and do my best to bring honour to my family, school and country.
