    Get involved with T. Howard Foundation! Below you will find multiple volunteer positions. You may sign up for as many as you'd like.

  • THF Mentor

    THF Mentors help interns learn more about the industry and their specific field(s) of interest. They also help them expand their professional network, navigate workplace challenges, and build self-confidence during their internship experience.
  • Eligibility:

    Have at least two years of full-time, professional work experience.

    Preferred (not required): 

    Professional work experience in the media and entertainment industry (e.g. Art & Design, Business, Communications, People & Policy, or Tech)

    Mentorship Commitment:

    • Attend T. Howard Foundation's Mentor Welcome Webinar.
    • Participate in virtual informational interview with Mentee.
    • Connect with mentee virtually or in-person at least 2 times per month during internship season.
  • Industry Expert

    Industry Experts are professionals willing to share their experience, projects and knowledge with T. Howard Foundation Final Talent Pool. Industry experts can host information sessions, virtual webinars, networking events, panels and/or participate in the THF Orientation.
  • Application Reviewer

    The Application Reviewer will review and score T. Howard Foundation applications. Application components include a resume and essay. There will be a scoring rubric provided to aid in the review. The application review process will occur October - November.
  • Scholarship Committee

    This external committee is comprised of T. Howard Foundation alumni and professionals who will select and award scholarships to eligible applicants. The Scott Weiss Scholarship, named for T. Howard Foundation's Founder and Chairman Emeritus, provides THF alumni with financial assistance for their academic and career pursuits. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of merit as defined by the Foundation. It is intended to provide assistance with tuition, required textbooks and/or expenses related to career development, conferences sponsored by professional organizations, and/or professional development workshops that help prepare recipients for a career in the media and entertainment industry.
