Program Guidelines Due to Covid-19
At the Neighborhood Boys & Girls Club the safety and well-being of our members, community, leaders and staff is our top priority. As we continue to navigate through these unprecedented times, we at NBGC are taking all necessary precautions to ensure that we will provide a fun and safe environment for our families. In order to properly and effectively run programs the Neighborhood Boys and Girls Club will be following CDC, IDPH, City of Chicago, Chicago Park District and State of Illinois's Restore plan recommendations. In addition to these recommendations the Neighborhood Boys & Girls Club will be implementing the following best practices:
Face Coverings
Participants are required to wear a face mask while in the building.
Spectators
Spectators are not allowed in Improv Classes.
Safety Procedures
Close Contact: If asymptomatic, fully vaccinated participants may attend program. Non fully vaccinated close contacts cannot return to program for 14 days after exposure. They may return in 10 days if no symptoms arise. They may return in 7 days if participant is asymptomatic and a negative PCR test was done at least 5 days after exposure.
Displaying COVID-19 Symptoms: Participants displaying symptoms may not return to program until a negative PCR test confirms symptoms are not caused by COVID-19.
Positive test: An individual that tests positive (symptomatic or asymptomatic) must wait 10 days from positive test to return to program.
Hand Washing
All youth and staff will be required to sanitize their hands throughout activities. Hand sanitizer will be provided. Soap and water will also be accessible inside the NBGC clubhouse.
Water Bottles
Participants should bring a filled water bottle labled with their first and last names.
Travel Policy
Chicago's travel order asks that, upon return, residents should get tested 3-5 days after travel and stay home for 7 days. Without a test, participants should stay home for 10 days.
