• The Oren Oliver Distinguished Service Award Nomination Form

    The Oren Oliver Distinguished Service Award, established in 1978, is presented to recognize an individual member of the Southern Association Orthodontists who has given “above and beyond” the normal commitment to the SAO and has helped the Association to accomplish its mission.

  • The deadline to turn in a nomination is February 21st.

    * After discussion at the Interim Board Meeting, the SAO Board of Directors will vote by written ballot to determine the recipient. A simple majority of the SAO Board is necessary for selection of the Award.

    • Criteria 

    • 1.  The individual must be an orthodontist and a member of the SAO in good standing. A deceased member may also receive consideration.

      2.  The achievements of the recipient rise above the ordinary and are far beyond the normal expectation of member leadership and service to the SAO.

      3. The achievements of the recipient go to the heart of the mission of the organization and significantly advance the mission of the SAO.

      4. The award itself will reflect not only honor on the individual but reflect credit upon the Association.

      5. The recipient has consistently supported the SAO with attendance at meetings.

       

      * A candidate must be nominated by a SAO member in good standing.
