  • As ethical breeders, one of our goals is to not contribute to the health issues of Golden Retriever breed by being punitive where our non-breeding policies are violated. We expect all our pup parents to be responsible and adhere to your contract to not breed non-health-tested dogs. Breeding is a responsibility to bettering the breed, and following the Golden Retriever Club of America's guidelines by fully testing your dogs for all known or common Golden Retriever diseases and to do breed specific DNA testing. Even when health testing is fully vetted, some diseases do sneak in like hip dysplasia and cancer where it is unknown the genetics that cause these illnesses. Allowing your non-health tested dog to procreate violates your contract and deems the remaining contract void. In addition, we will impose the fine in your contract and possibly take your dog back for breach of contract and abuse.

  • If preparing for breeding release, please select screenings that are complete. As these are completed, they are submitted to OFA at https://online.ofa.org/ and become a part of the dog's permanent public record. When these are done, Sundancin' Golden releases all partial ownership.
