    Dear Applicant:

    The Nashwauk Area Community Foundation will award two $1,000 scholarships this school year. One will go to an applicant attending a traditional college, and the other to an applicant attending a nontraditional or trade school. You must be a student attending Nashwauk-Keewatin ISD#319 School District.

    Scholarships will be awarded in two increments: Apply 1/2 to the current/upcoming semester and 1/2 to the following/next semester.

    Judging criteria are as follows in order of importance:

    1.     Community Volunteer Service – greatest emphasis

    2.     School Community Activities and Work Experience – equal importance

    3.     Goals and Aspirations

    4.     Applicant Appraisal

    5.     Grades will only be used as a tie-breaker

    Please complete the application in its entirety. A thorough and legible application will increase your chance of being awarded a scholarship. The appraisal/reference page of the application is to be completed by a non-relative adult who knows you well and can attest to your character and experiences. 


    ****The following must be complete and submitted to be eligible for the scholarship. Incomplete and late items will not be considered:

    2. Counselor submit your transcripts  (Student Transcript Submission)
    3. Appraisal Form completed and submitted by a non-relative adult (Appraisal Form)

    Briefly Describe what Nashwauk-Keewatin Schools and the Nashwauk-Keewatin area has meant to you and how it has played a part in your long-term goals.

  • REMINDERS:

    1. A signed copy by your school counselor of your most recent transcript and an Appraisal/Reference Form (completed by a non-relative adult) must accompany your completed application. You must provide an email for each to complete your application. Once your application is complete and emails are submitted for the counselor and reference designee, a request will be sent to both selections automatically. You do not have to provide a form or a link for them to complete. It is done once you submit your application. They will then fulfill your request electronically, and forms will be sent to the scholarship committee.
    2. The application must be signed by both yourself and parent/guardian by using e-sign. It is on the form.  

    Again - all items must be completed and submitted to be considered as eligible.
