The program will take place weekly on Thursday (4-6 pm) from March 10th - June 2nd at 487 West Alexandrine Street, Detroit, MI 48201. More information here.

COVID-19 I acknowledge the contagious nature of the Coronavirus/COVID-19 and that the CDC and many other public health authorities still recommend practicing social distancing. I further acknowledge that People in Education (PIE) has put in place additional preventative measures to try to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.I further acknowledge that PIE can not guarantee that I or my child/ren will not become infected with the Coronavirus/Covid-19. I understand that the risk of becoming exposed to and/or infected by the Coronavirus/COVID-19 may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, program participants, UNI staff and partners, and their families. I am voluntarily enrolling my child/ren in in-person programming at PIE and acknowledge that I am increasing my risk of exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19.I acknowledge that I must comply with all set procedures to reduce the spread while attending my child/ren attend in-person programming at PIEI attest that: My child/ren and others living in my household are not experiencing any symptom of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, vomiting, diarrhea, or new loss of taste or smell. My child/ren and others living in my household have not traveled internationally within the last 14 days. My child/ren and others living in my household have not traveled to a highly impacted area within the United States of America in the last 14 days. I do not believe my child/ren and others living in my household have been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of the Coronavirus/COVID-19.My child/ren and others living in my household have not been diagnosed with Coronavirus/Covid-19 and not yet cleared as non-contagious by state or local public health authorities. I am following all CDC recommended guidelines as much as possible and limiting my exposure to the Coronavirus/COVID-19.I understand that PIE may need to cancel in-person programming if there is a risk to participants, families, employees, and the organization. I understand that if my child/ren are showing any signs or symptoms of COVID-19 that my child/ren will not be permitted to attend in-person programming for 14 days after their symptoms are gone. I understand it is my responsibility to notify PIE immediately if there are any changes to my child/ren's emergency contact information I here by release and agree to hold PIE harmless from, and waive on behalf of myself, my heirs, and any personal representatives any and all causes of action, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses and compensation for damage or loss to myself and/or property that may be caused by any act, or failure to act of PIE, or that may otherwise arise in any participation in PIE programs. I understand that this release discharges PIE from any liability or claim that I, my heirs, or any personal representatives may have against PIE with respect to any bodily injury, illness, death, medical treatment, or property damage that may arise from, or in connection to, any services received from PIE. I understand that People in Education is not responsible for me/my youth once they leave the program anytime during the day or at the end of the program.
