FBCH VolunTeen Application Form Summer 2022

***All Volunteers MUST be fully vaccinated and must upload Vaccination Card to our Red Cross System once accepted and Profile is created***

The American Red Cross is excited to host, in-person, our 2022 VolunTEEN Summer Program. This year's program will run July 5 through August 12th, 2022 at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. The VolunTEEN Program offers high school students ages 14 to 17 the opportunity to engage in and learn about medicine and the American Red Cross.

Applications accepted Tuesday, February 1, 2022 through Monday, March 21, 2022. All Applications and letters of recommendations must be received, via email, by 4pm on Monday, April 4th, 2022. Acceptance emails will be sent on Monday, April 11th, 2022.

If accepted, all VolunTEENS must clear Occupational Health and completed forms must be submitted to the office, via email, by Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 4pm.

Orientation will be held Saturday, May 21 & Saturday, June 18, 2022 in the Fort Belvoir Community Hospital Cafetorium - 3rd Floor, Oaks Pavilion. *You MUST attend one orientation, teens only

***Program is 6 weeks long, you must volunteer 5 of the 6 weeks MINIMUM

The program runs 5 July through 12 August. You are required to attend a minimum of 5 weeks of the 6 week program. Teens must be between the ages of 14-17 and be a United States citizen (this is a DoD regulation).

Specify the days and shifts you are available to work. Select at least 2 shifts, you must have a minimum of 8 hours per week. Location assignment is based on your availability. List departments or areas of the hospital you are interested in working in.
