Please complete the application to be considered for the next Cohort to receive SPED Add-On Certification.
Caddo Parish Public Schools will provide the Mild/Moderate Special Education Certification Add-On to a small cohort of Caddo Parish Teachers. If you are interested in participating in the program, please complete the application at the link below and with a copy of your current teaching certificate.
To qualify for the Mild/Moderate SPED Certification Add-On Program, the candidate must:
- Hold or be eligible for a Louisiana Level 1 Professional License prior to program entry
- Be a current Caddo Parish Public School employee
- For the upcoming school year - be the teacher of record in a Mild/Moderate classroom and/or work with Mild/Moderate students regularly to complete required coursework
- Agree to teach in a Special Education Classroom position for a minimum of 3 years
