Acappelia Kennels are a small Central Victorian kennel, breeding to preserve and protect the Australian Shepherd breed for those who love them as much as I do. Our focus is on breeding healthy dogs which are sound in body and temperament.

This application helps me to learn more about you. It allows me to gain a better understanding of what kind of home and life you can offer an Australian Shepherd and if a Acappelia puppy is suitable for you.

This application also contains a lot of information to help you understand the process of purchasing a puppy, and I hope it will answer some questions you may have too.

Filling in this expression of interest / application does not require you to commit to a Acappelia Puppy, although we do ask that you let us know if you find another puppy in the mean time.

Please note, Acappelia puppies aren't allocated to their new families until they're 7/8 weeks of age. We don't choose what we're keeping until then and you also can't see temperament and personality until that age. I match each pup based on temperament with their new family.

When puppies leave they will of had their 1st vaccination, be microchipped, eyes checked by a veterinary ophthalmologist and will either be sterilized (vasectomy or ovarian sparing spay) or sold on a binding desexing contract.

I understand that looking for a puppy to bring home is very exciting, and that most people will have their preferences for what their ideal puppy will be like.

To help me match puppies to homes, I invite you to tell me what you are looking for in an Australian Shepherd. A homebody best friend and couch co pilot, a hiking buddy and surfing extrodinare, a dedicated working dog for cattle and sheep, a show prospect or sporting dog.

Australian Shepherds offer quite a variety within it's breed. They are a natural bob tail breed, born with a short natural bob tail, a full length tail or anything in between. They come in four colours: Black, Red, Red Merle and Blue Merle. All with and without tan points and white markings. Each colour and tail type is as beautiful as the next and offers no difference to the dog's temperament, energy level or needs. The right dog is never the wrong colour.

Please understand that I offer my pups to homes I feel are MOST suitable to the puppy's needs, personality and temperament.

We do not accept deposits for puppies not born. Our priority is to our puppies who are considered part of the family. They are not available to strictly outdoor homes nor are they available entire to pet homes. We take our time to select homes to suit our puppies, we offer our breeder support for life and we will take any puppy back at any stage of it's life.
