About the Program
Arrupe Virtual Learning Institute proposes to design and build a learning collaborative for secondary schools centered around a high quality, teacher-led online model for foreign language instruction and learning. The Foreign Languages Using Network Collaboration (flu-N-C) program will provide a framework through which hardworking high school students achieve fluency in a new language over the course of four years.
We are looking for leadership on two levels:
LEADERSHIP ADVISORY TEAM
With a commitment of approximately 10 hours total, advisory team members will serve in a consultative capacity to offer support, guidance, and constructive criticism of the project throughout its development.
CORE TEAM (THIS TEAM HAS BEEN ASSEMBLED)
Consisting of high-level language teachers, this 5 member core team is the primary project animator. With a time commitment of approximately 10 hours of advance work as well as attendance at a summer gathering in June, these participants will work together to design the structure and create a plan for effective implementation of the flu-N-C program. Given the expectation of travel and additional time involved, a $1,750 stipend is offered to core team members.
