PLEASE READ – IMPORTANT ORIENTATION INFORMATION

After You Submit Your Application:
You will receive an automatic reply email with details about the next Orientation. Space is Limited: We can only accommodate 20 people per Orientation. Please confirm your attendance ASAP to hold your spot.

Applications Are Required for Everyone:
EACH adult and child, must complete a volunteer application BEFORE attending Orientation.

Volunteers Ages 8–16: Each child, (1 child to 1 parent) must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times. Please read Barn Rules attached, number 6.

Background Checks: Sunshine Horses conducts checks for Sex offenses and Animal abuse or neglect.

Health Insurance Notice: Sunshine Horses does NOT provide: Health or medical insurance, Automobile insurance, Worker’s Compensation or Disability coverage. All volunteers are responsible for their own insurance coverage.

There are two shifts daily. Mornings 7:30 am. Afternoons 4:30 p.m. Please list the days you want to volunteer.
MORNINGS 7:30: List days available

SKILL SETS

If you are experienced in the following areas and would like to volunteer your skills, please let us know. We need experienced people in these areas:

Electrician, Carpentry, Plumbing, Painting, Photographer, Social Media, Event Planning, Accounting, Gardening, Computer Tech. (IT) CPR Certified, EMT and Nurse, Grant Writing.
SKILL SETS

Grant Work: If you are a grant writter, we need you.

CHILDREN ages of 8 through 17 must have their parent or guardian sign the Release of Liability Waiver below.

CHILDREN up to the age of 16, must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times and until the Team Leader and Parent/Guardian give their approval that the child is proficient enough to work without parent/guardian supervision. The parent/guardian must still be present at Sunshine.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY WAIVER

As a volunteer for Sunshine Horses, Inc., I acknowledge the risks and potential for risks posed by my handling and caring for livestock, and I voluntarily agree to assume these risks, such on-farm activities in which I will be participating in and that these activities may expose me to the risk of personal injury, death, or damage to your property. I understand the responsibilities and duties of a Sunshine Horses, Inc. volunteer. I am familiar with the duties involved in the care of the livestock and I represent that I am able to perform those duties. Accordingly, by my signature below, I hereby, intending to be legally bound, for myself, my heirs and assigns, executors or administrators, waive and release forever all claims for damages against Sunshine Horses, Inc., its Board of Directors, volunteers, and I or employees for any and all injuries and/or losses I may sustain while performing work for Sunshine Horses, Inc.
