Position Title: Artist Advocate
Position Description:
Company is looking to hire a competent Artist Advocate/Administrator to care for, work alongside, and guide an Artist through the many administrative processes relevant to an Artists growth. The candidate would have an entrepreneurial mindset and have interest in the entertainment industry. Daily tasks would include but not be limited to general Artist management support, Artist research, selling and securing Artist performances, appearances, partnerships, licenses, sponsorships and other contracts.The candidate must have a firm understanding of Hawaiian culture, local practices and behavior to properly connect with informal and formal Clients alike.
Responsibilities
Understand, support and adhere to the Values and Mission of Haku Collective
Provide care, guidance and administrative support so that the Artist can focus on creative craft.
Gather and organize Artist assets, files, images, videos, audio, contracts into cloud-based drive folders.
Develop and improve the Artist brand and build ease-of-use press kits and other marketing templates.
Help with promotional events, social posts, website updates.
Recommend changes to Artist promotional portfolio so to increase clarity of brand and increase efficiency.
Maintain weekly Executive review meetings for all Artist career matters.
Maintain an agenda, updated notes/log and keep meeting minutes in real-time
Maintain weekly ZOOM calendar events and details within (approx 3 to 5 calls per week)
Daily attention to all email correspondence and requests from Clients
Operate with professionalism and Aloha when responding to all requests
Building and managing daily calendar appointments for all tentative and confirmed events for Clients, Internal Team, Artists and supplementary Vendors and Crew
Maintain company contact database
adding new contacts
updating existing contacts
Engage in conversational and relational interaction with potential and existing Clients, Sponsors, Partners, Vendors and Crew to develop projects that create revenue for the Artist.
Clearly understand individual project needs
Mutually develop a clear scope of each project
Build a budget based on the defined scope for each project
Query crew, vendors and contributors to identify all costs
Include internal team costs and overhead
Get Executive and Artist approval of each budget
Develop sales price or defined revenue for the project
Actively seek Executive approvals and guidance throughout the project development process
Negotiate with Clients, Partners, Vendors and other Stakeholders to yield the highest value revenue for the Artist
Active
Assist in resolving business issues using existing systems, data collection and suggest upgrades as needed
Engage, negotiate and provide service to Clients who have unconventional requests.
Maintain respectful and healthy boundaries with Clients while honoring and addressing their requests or respectfully declining their requests
