UIPM Non-Disclosure Agreement

This confidentiality and non-disclosure undertaking is given to the Union Internationale de Pentathlon Moderne (the “UIPM”) in consideration of the election as a member of the UIPM Body and enters into force upon signing.

I acknowledge that based on my position in the UIPM Body, I will be given access to information that is of a confidential and/or proprietary nature, including but not limited to data on diffusion of disciplines, medical information, business strategies, financial details, disciplinary and other legal matters, opinions and expression of votes of fellow members of the UIPM Body as well as information which is expressly classified as confidential by the UIPM (the “Confidential Information”). I acknowledge that UIPM lives up to the principles of transparency and good governance and regularly provides relevant information about the work of the UIPM Bodies to UIPM Member Federations and, as the case may be, to the interested public. I understand that it is vital for the reputation, the interests and the promotion of UIPM that Confidential Information is in principle not shared by me as an individual member of the UIPM Body with third parties.

I, therefore agree:

• to hold all Confidential Information in trust and strict confidence and agree that it shall be used only for the purposes required to discharge my duties in the UIPM Body, and shall not be used for any other purpose, or disclosed by me to any third party;
• to keep any Confidential Information in my control or possession in a physically or digitally appropriately secured location to which only I have access;
• to undertake all reasonable measures that are required to prevent other parties from gaining knowledge of and utilizing such Confidential Information;
• to maintain the absolute confidentiality of Confidential Information in recognition of the privacy and proprietary right of others at all times, and in all situations (including social ones);
• to comply with all privacy laws and regulations which apply to the collection, use and disclosure of Confidential Information;
• to return all information, including written notes, memoranda, notes taken, data search, photographs, etc within two weeks after my term in the UIPM Body ended.

I understand that a breach of confidentiality or a misuse of information on my part could result in disciplinary actions against me as provided for in the UIPM Code of Ethics.

I understand and accept responsibilities set above relating to Confidential Information.
