  • Board Member Application

  • Dear Prospective Board Member,

We appreciate your interest in becoming a part of our worthy cause. It is with commitments like yours that we are able to serve such a diverse population of children and their families year after year.

Our organization is doing incredible work to inspire members of our communities to invest in their future. We do this by providing opportunities for a level playing field while emphasizing a strong commitment to education. These programs are designed to help develop the skills and tutorship necessary for those served to reach their highest level of personal growth and community leadership. This work would not be possible without the support of the community volunteers who serve on our governing board.

Please take a few minutes to complete the enclosed board member application. Once we receive your completed application, it will be forwarded to our board’s nominating committee and a representative will be in contact with you in the next few weeks.

Thank you for considering a role at the Idongesit Nkanga Educational Foundation. If you have any questions, please contact us at either +2348023024980 or info@idongesitnkanga.com.

    • I will be sent, without request, quarterly financial reports and an update of organizational activities that allow me to meet the "prudent person" standards of the law.
    • Opportunities will be offered to me to discuss with the program director and the board president the organization's programs, goals, activities, and status; additionally, I can request such opportunities.
    • The organization will help me perform my duties by keeping me informed about issues in the industry and field in which we are working, and by offering me opportunities for professional development as a board member.
    • Board members and staff will respond in a straightforward fashion to questions that I feel are necessary to carry out my fiscal, legal and moral responsibilities to this organization.
