Stray Pet Admission

This is a life saving process to reduce the risk of euthanasia while networking the pet in your care to locate the owner, adopter, rescue, or foster before coming to the shelter. MCAS will post the pets picture and information online on our "Stray Pets In Need Outside Shelter" page.

Before you begin: We recommend gathering good, clear pictures, genders, and ages of all pets prior to completing this form or this will delay the process. If you encounter any issues regarding the completion of this form please email us at Shelter.Counter@mctx.org.

MCAS reserves the right to dispatch an animal care officer to retrieve the pet if communication is lost and an owner has come forward.
Please understand that all pets in this program MUST upon demand be turned over to the owner, rescue placement or adopter.
While MCAS will be assisting with resources, any medical or grooming services you provide on your own are not reimbursable by the owner or MCAS.
Inquiries MCAS receives regarding adoption, foster, or rescue placement will be forwarded to you via email. MCAS may also contact you by phone if needed.
