About the contest:
The Dana and Lynn Roper Sports Writing Competition tests your ability to produce clear, concise, accurate and compelling stories about sports.
Eligibility
The competition is open to all undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications.
To enter:
Submit two published written sports stories within the last year and a resume. Stories must be in print or published online (no blogs).
About the prize:
The first-place winner will receive a $2,500 cash award, second place $2,000, third place $1,500 and fourth place $1,000.
