SOCHH Summer Session runs July 5th-28th*

The Summer TK/Kindergarten program runs Tues/Wed/Thurs from 9am-1pm July 5th-28th with a new theme/unit study each week! The tk/k class may enroll in ANY or ALL of the four weeks in July!

Classes will focus on age appropriate soft skills (communication, self control, active listening, growth mindset, teamwork, problem-solving, etc.) in a play based environment. Themes will revolve around a read-aloud literature piece and there will be fun activities and crafts planned to reflect that theme, followed by some old fashion summer camp FUN like waterplay, outdoor games, etc! 

Students will have snack breaks and recess, and may bring 2 hearty snacks or a lunch along with plenty of water. On days that include water play, we will give advance notice for things like extra clothes and towels.

 

Fee: $115 per week. Students must be TK or Kinder age and fully potty trained.

Priority registration to CURRENT SOCHH families begins February 1st. Registration will open to the public on February 15th. We need a minimum of 5 students enrolled each week; we intentionally try to keep this class small and will cap at 8-10 little ones each week.

Full payment is required at time of enrollment. All payments are non-refundable unless the class is class is cancelled due to low enrollment. If your student is unable to attend for any reason, we will issue a SOCHH credit if notice is given prior to 2 weeks before the start of class.

FAQ

Do I have to attend all 4 weeks of the TK/K program? No! TK/k students can pick which week(s) to attend!

How many students in each class? Each weekly session will have no more than 8-10 littles.

What does my student need to bring? Students should bring plenty of water, a small snack and a lunch or two hearty snacks, and a full change of clothing. Your teacher will reach out in advance with any specific or special details and instructions.

Does my tk/k student need to wear a mask? We do not yet know what the Orange County Department of Health will require for covid protocals for the summer. At the time of this writing (Jan 2022) our current students under the age of 6 years of age are exempt from wearing them in their classroom "cohort" (though a few of them chose to) or outside on the playground. We do ask them to bring a mask daily for the occassional visit to the library room, etc. Again, we do not yet know yet what the requirements will be for summer but will send updates in June.

I have a current SOCHH kinder, they will NOT be doing 1st grade at SOCHH in fall or they will be repeating kinder, can they enroll in this program? Yes! Whether your student is currently at SOCHH or if you are a new family to SOCHH, all incoming AND current tk/kindergartners are welcome. Additionally, if your student is not 1st grade ready developmentally over the summer we encourage you to choose this option. 

Summer session is a very intimate and gentle introduction to our campus and staff and highly receommended for families who wil be new to SOCHH in the fall!

Is there a refund if I decide later I can not attend? No. Because we have a very limited number of spots available each week, please be sure you can and will attend before signing up. All payments made are non refundable. 

Terms & Agreement

By signing below I understand that SOCHH will need to adhere to whatever the protocols the Orange Country Department of Health requires of us for in person attendance and I will need to sign those once they become available in June.
