Youth Academy League Facility Standards

Please review each standard carefully and provide honest info on your club's resources to fulfill the standard. Not being able to fulfill the standard does not prohibit acceptance of your application. We will work with club's to create minimal standards for hosting. Minimum number of fields required will fluctuate based on number of teams (recommended: 5X 7v7 fields, 4X 4v4 fields).

HOSTING STANDARDS
Facility will be open (parking lot available, restrooms open, fields available and accessible) by 1.5 hours prior to first game.

Facility will remain open 30 minutes after last games end.

Host facility will provide a Site Coordinator "on site" throughout the hosting event. This Site Coordinator will have access to the League Office should any challenges or questions arise.

The Site Coordinator will be in communication with the Referee Assignor, and agrees to do a 15 minute Conference Call with the Referee Assignor Wednesday prior to game day hosting.

If hosting night games the lights will be turned on at least 30 minutes prior to Civil Twilight ending.

If Facility has any specific facility rules (i.e. which side spectators sit on, no pets, COVID protocols, etc) these will be made available to The League Office at least 30 days prior to the first weekend of the league.

FIELD STANDARDS

FIELD MARKINGS: Each field will be painted to include the following markings:
- Touchlines
- Endlines
- Center Circle
- 7v7 Penalty Box
- 4v4 Goal Box
- 7v7 Build Out Line
FIELD DIMENSIONS:
- 7v7: 55-65 yards long X 35-45 yards wide
- 4v4: 25-35 yards long X 15-25 yards wide
CORNER FLAGS: Each 7v7 Field will contain 4 corner flags in the corners of the field.

SURFACE: Each field surface will be properly mowed (standard is within 2.5 inches). All holes will be filled, creating as flat and safe of surface as possible.

GOAL STANDARDS

4v4 GOALS (7U & 8U) will be Max 4 FEET (tall) x 6 FEET (wide).

7v7 GOALS (9U & 10U) will be 6.5X18.5 FEET or 7X21 FEET.
* No 8X24 Goals will be used.

GOAL SAFETY:

All goals will abide by the goal specs proper anchoring.

NETS:

All goals will contain properly attached nets which adhere to posts, crossbars and a back bar or the ground.

COMMUNICATION STANDARDS

FACILITY CLOSURE: In the event of a facility closure due to Weather, Acts of God, or other unforecasted causes, the host facility will post by FRIDAY 8 PM the NIGHT BEFORE a host date of the closure. The facility host will also immediately notify The League Office by all League Office contacts, EMAILS & CELL #s, of all League Office members.

WEATHER MONITORING: In the event potential closure due to forecasted weather, the facility the host facility will post by FRIDAY 8 PM the NIGHT BEFORE a host date an update of the facility's status and timeline for making final decisions (i.e. "as of 8 PM the Bixby Soccer Complex is open... a further assessment will be made by 6 AM Saturday morning and updates posted here). The facility host will also immediately notify The League Office by all League Office contacts, EMAILS & CELL #s, of all League Office members.

ALL CLOSURES ARE ENCOURAGED TO HAPPEN PRIOR TO 8 PM THE NIGHT BEFORE THE PLAY DATE.

IF CLOSURES ARE PUT OFF TO THE DAY OF THE GAME THE EXPECTATION IS THAT A DECISION IS FINALIZED MINIMALLY 3 HOURS PRIOR TO FIRST GAME KICKOFF.
