Pigs are excellent companions - they are social animals and need other pig friends too. If you're applying for a solo pig and you don't already have pig friends, please feel free to chat to us if you're open to adopting a second pig when they become available. They’re funny, mischievous and love enrichment, but they can get themselves into trouble too if fences aren’t adequate. Pig homes will need excellent fencing and shelter. Pigs adopted from SHFS are microchipped, up to date with worming, lice treatment, vaccinations and are desexed. Pigs adopted from SHFS are never to be bred from, eaten or sold.
