Prayer is powerful. The beautiful truth is that when we talk to God, He listens! He loves hearing from us, He loves being in relationship with us, and He loves responding to us.
Prayer aligns us with the will of God. When we pray, we begin to understand God's heart and our desires begin to shift and our requests become less about ourselves and more about His Kingdom. We can see this in Matthew 6 in the Lord's Prayer--Jesus exhorts us to pray for "Your Kingdom come, Your will be done."
As we lean increasingly into praying for God's will, not our desires, we draw closer to the heart of God;l as we draw closer to the heart of God, the passion behind and in our prayer intensifies.
So, will you join me in praying for revival? Pray for God to awaken the hearts of His people and to renew and revive us! As we are revived, we join what God is doing and we allow the power of God to change us and our environment.
