KYRA JONES

Kyra is currently a staff writer on season 2 of Woke (Hulu) and the new series Queens (ABC). Kyra is the co-creator and star of the award-winning web series The Right Swipe (OTV). The Right Swipe was an official selection at Austin Film Festival, Urbanworld Film Festival, DC Black Film Festival, Black Femme Supremacy Film Festival, and many others. Her comedy script, Good Vibes Only, won Best Pilot at the 2020 Nashville Film Festival and was runner-up for Cinestory. Her upcoming feature, Go to the Body, won ‘The Pitch’ at the 2020 Chicago International Film Festival and Screencraft's virtual pitch competition. Kyra is also a script reader for Janelle Monae's production company, Wondaland Pictures. As an actor, she’s appeared on the series finale of Empire (Fox), Chicago Justice (NBC), The Chi (Showtime), Kappa Force (Revry), and Seeds (OTV).

LATAVEYA THE WRITER (HOST)

LaTaveya is currently a Writer/Director for an upcoming TUBI original series called Sapphire. Her short film, Best Friends has won 9 films laurels and ranked in several film world-wide festivals. Her drama script, Transcendent was selected as a finalist in the Nashville Film Festival and is currently being pitched to BET and Netflix. LaTaveya is also the published Author of "Jewel The Crypto Teen" and "25 Unique Writing Tips for Aspiring Writers With Crazy Ideas", both releasing Spring 2022. LaTaveya has several projects and movies in the works and though she is still building her resume, she continues to reach back to aspiring writers and creators who are looking for their big break in the industry, with hopes to help them manifest their writing dreams.

MICHEL'LE B.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in film, Michel'le struggled to get her foot in the door as a working TV professional. Determined, she began to apply serious pressure to her television career. Climbing her ladder of success, Michel’le started her journey on the feature film side of the industry as a set PA for a Will Packer Production. This opportunity led to her most rewarding feature thus far, “Girls Trip”. Since, she has worked on projects for OWN, BET, TV One, TPS, Lifetime, TLC, The CW, Universal, the list goes on.
