If someone’s body temperature drops below 95 degrees Fahrenheit, call 911 immediately for medical help.
It might not seem like a lot, but someone is considered to be experiencing hypothermia if their body temperature is below 95° F. Hypothermia is a result of the body losing heat at a faster rate than it can produce it.
If someone you know is experiencing hypothermia, get them to a warm location as quickly as possible. While waiting for medical attention, try to raise their body temperature by warming them from the center — such as placing a warm compress on their neck, chest, head, or groin.
