2026 College Scholarship Application

Application Deadline - April 30, 2026
The Northwest Louisiana Community Tennis Association (NWLACTA) will offer 1 $1000 scholarship for the CURRENT college academic year if the student will play Varsity, Club or USTA League Tennis in college and does not otherwise receive a full academic college or athletic scholarship.

Minimum Criteria for Selection
- High School Senior
- Current member of the USTA
- Current resident of Northwest Louisiana with a permanent residence Caddo or Bossier Parish for one full school year
  - NOTE: Natchitoches Parish will also be considered with Coach Willie Paz approval
- Annual Household income - Not required
- Active tennis player who meets at least one of the following:
  - Been ranked in the top 500 in USTA Southern in past two years,
  - or Played on a high school team for two years,
  - or Played Junior Team Tennis, or
  - In an NJTL program for two years
- The NWLACTA Scholarship Committee uses the following criteria in its selection:
- Grade Point Average
- Extracurricular activities
- Tennis participation
- Essay/Letter of Recommendation
You must complete all sections of the application and upload requested supplemental information including a transcript, short essay, and letter of recommendation or support letter.

The NWLACTA will announce scholarship recipients by May22, 2026.
