Lion Pride Scholarship Application 2025-26 Due: Thursday, April 30, 2026
The Lion Pride Scholarship is intended for Alhambra High School and Carl Hayden High School student-athletes graduating seniors who have the drive to further their education but need financial support to obtain their goal of obtaining a post-secondary education. Student-athletes who apply must plan to attend a post-secondary institution including a college, university, community college, or a vocational/trade school and should be comfortable sharing their story in this application. One scholarship will be awarded to a graduate from Alhambra and a graduate from Carl Hayden that competed in a Varsity sport during the 2025-2026 school year. The amount will be determined by funds raised and will be the same for each student/athlete and are subject to approval from the Lion Pride Scholarship Committee. All scholarships awarded will be disbursed as follows: 80%of scholarship will be made payable to the recipient’s chosen college, university, or vocational/trade school upon confirmation of enrollment by July 1, 2026 and 20%of scholarship will be given directly to the scholarship winner for personal use one week prior to the start of the 2026-27 school year.

Principal Approval: To be eligible, all applicants must be endorsed by an administrator (principal or assistant principal) at the student's high school. This application is endorsed by the following high school administrator. Please communicate with your school administrator and confirm their endorsement and indicate the date of the conversation (the scholarship committee will verify eligibility of an applicant with the school administrator before awarding a recipient):
Make sure all steps are completed before submitting your application. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Section III: Instructions for Submission: All submissions must include answers to all questions. Provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher or counselor. Include a current a copy of your high school transcript from your counselor. Include the name and email address of the counselor providing a recommendation. Make sure you have a recommendation from your school administrator, this will be verified before any scholarships are awarded. Make sure that you and a parent or guardian signs the application by 4pm on April 30th, 2026. Return the completed application and any necessary attachments by 4pm, Thursday, April 30, 2026 by submitting this application and included attachments. Applications will be scored according to the student's ability to detail information as requested, as well as proper use of grammar, spelling and punctuation. Note that applications will not be returned. Timeline: Notification will be sent to students via email by May 15, 2026. Upon receiving an award, students will need to provide proof of enrollment in a post-secondary institution sent to lionpridefund@gmail.com by July 1, 2026. 80% of all awards will be distributed directly to the post-secondary institution, not the student 20% of the award will be made payable to the student upon confirmation of enrollment one week prior to the start of the 2026-27 school year for the institution they are attending. All awards need to be claimed by October 1, 2026. Any unclaimed awards by that time will be lost and may be re-allocated to another student.Make sure that you and a parent or guardian signs the application.

Section IV: Application Acknowledgement By signing, I acknowledge that this application is complete (all items in the appropriate section have been checked) and that all items listed in the appropriate section included. I understand I will not receive a returned copy of my application. If scholarship is awarded, my child's name will be shared in a media announcement from the Foundation.
