  • We expect masks to be optional in 2022.

  •  Please don't use AUTOFILL,
     it will likely propagate information
     into the wrong fields.

  •
  • Many families already have camp shirts from previous years and/or from older siblings. Students should wear any TWA camp shirts that they already have. If your Big Kid (age 8-12) needs more than the ONE shirt given on their first Monday of summer, parents may purchase extra shirts during afternoon pick-up time. Ages 8 to 12 are required to wear their camp shirt daily.

Two-weeks or One-week? Most TWA camps are our standard Two-week sessions, (with 10 different program days). And the ONE-week camps are half of that program.

  • For friends to be together:
    1. Must be in the same age group (Wild Kid, Big Kid Maker Camp, or Alumni).
    2. and must be in the same Cohort # (the same arrival/departure time).
    3. Except Alumni are all in one cohort, even if different arrival/departure times.

If reading the below camp dates on a phone, try holding sideways.

  •
  • Only select camps above that have your child's 2022 age listed, (example: 5-12, 8-12, 5-7, 8-10, or 11-12).
Do not select FULL cohorts, of course.

  •
  • For the one-week Alumni Camps, please don't forget to choose a TIME (in the above, right column). All 24 alumni will be together in one awesome daily group, even if Alumni arrive at different times.

  • Optionally SCHEDULE a visit during your camp week:
If your student is in the Big Kid Adventure Maker Camp or the Alumni Cohort, parents may schedule an optional 30 minute program visit (starting at your child’s arrival time). Please PARK in the first part of the parking lot and walk together to check-in WITH YOUR CHILD. And then follow your child to the Big Kid Camp. (Your child is a professional tour guide). Adult Visitors must live with the student, pass a COVID temperature check in the camp parking lot, get a visitor Name Tag, sign a waiver, wear a face covering, and not throw bananas at the children. Reserve your spot below (if still available), and optionally bring 1 adult relative if you list them below.

  • CPP (COVID Prevention Program) Summary - Updated April 1, 2022

    • Staff in 2022 will again help to make COVID prevention easy for the kids to follow without impacting the fun experiences of a summer childhood. The last TWO summers were awesome!

    • TWA is committed to outdoor cohorts for the kids in 2022 with optional face coverings at the parent's discretion if not in contradiction to a County Health Order.
    • The recommended use of N95 or surgical masks  for staff  will again be required by TWA Policy in 2022, but only while near children or near other staff or adults, even with a fully vaccinated staff.
    • It is generally recommended that staff and camp families have access to testing and vaccinations before attendance at camps. (Not required).
    • Arrival and departure times are staggered to reduce contact.
    • Parents will drive to the Express Drop-off/Pick-up Lane, and if safe, only the campers will exit the vehicle (via the right-side doors or hatchback only) to be received by their camp cohort staff directly.
    • Your child's cohort staff will immediately provide each student a touchless temperature check and a dab of hand sanitizer. More details are on the TWA Parent Info Webpage.
    • Students who are sick or have illness in the home may attend only after the family has self-quarantined for 10 days with no signs of illness in the household, or have completed the current recommended quarantine time, even if vaccinated.
    • Soap and water hand-scrubbing is supervised by adult camp staff before and after eating, plus as needed, and during the daily departure line-up.
    • Students also have all-day access to foaming soap dispensers, wash water, and hand sanitizer.
    • Staff will disinfect common surfaces with 1/2% hydrogen peroxide sprays (per CDC recommendation), and we use Lysol or diluted bleach sprays as is appropriate.
    • Lunchtime, water breaks and snacking will require students to be sitting in designated spots, several feet from other students.
    • Big Kid campfire lunchtime is staggered in assigned groups of 4 around each campfire.
    • Students will often participate in activities several feet away from adult staff unless the child needs direct assistance.
    • Students will remain in the fresh open air. (We have no enclosed buildings unless your child builds one).
  • Please indicate (below) for EACH person any known ALLERGIES including: foods, plants, peas, soy, wild hazelnuts, copper, brass, Latex gloves, Hand Sanitizer, Bleach cleaning products, Hydrogen Peroxide, STRAWBERRIES, POPCORN, marshmallows, Chocolate, Lime, Lemon, Grapefruit La Croix soda, pollen, dust, hay, animals, feathers, rabbit fur, insects, medications, etc, (or touching ASPIRIN used in rocket launching), and "Nantucket Brand" organic insect repellent made of: essential oils of clove, geranium, peppermint, cedarwood, spearmint, rosemary and cinnamon, vegetable glycerin and natural vanillin made from cloves.

    • Tribal Wisdom Academy Terms of Enrollment

As legal guardian for the student(s) listed on this form, I consent to their participation in the programs offered by Tribal Wisdom Academy, LLC (hereinafter “TWA”).  As consideration for my child participating in TWA programs, I hereby agree to the following Terms of Enrollment (hereinafter “Contract”):

On the weekend before each week of TWA program, Parent/guardian shall review “the current Student Behavior Contract” with each enrolled child and support TWA mentorship decisions and Behavior Standards. Parent/guardian understands that if my child is dangerous to himself or others, that he/she will be immediately expelled without refund.

No organization, including TWA, can guarantee that a family will not be exposed to illness, including Coronavirus; staying home will likely be a safer option in that regard. Parent/guardian is making the voluntary choice to allow each enrolled child to participate in TWA programs and thereby assumes the risk of illness to child(ren) and/or family members.

Camp registrations include opting-in to occasional email, text, or possible postal mail communications from TWA, Los Gatos Farms, and a Camp Photo Vendor. Phone calls from camp staff are only made in the event of student care/transportation situations or registration issues.

      Electronic Signatures

TWA’s Terms of Enrollment constitutes a legally valid contract which goes into effect when electronically submitted by the parent or guardian of the child(ren) and the enrollment is accepted by TWA.  By electronically consenting to the terms of the Contract, the parent/guardian agrees to follow all the rules and regulations established by TWA including those regarding payment and child(ren's) behavior as partially outlined in the most current Behavior Contract PDF available on the TWA website.

      Dismissal

For the general welfare of all participants, TWA reserves the right to dismiss any participant whose conduct or influence, in the opinion of TWA staff, is dangerous or detrimental to the best interests of TWA or participants. Also, any participant found in possession of or using alcohol, tobacco, or any illegal or immoral substance or materials will be dismissed immediately and no refund shall be issued. The available Student Behavior Contract and its periodic updated versions will generally outline behavior and safety guidelines which may include possible alternatives to dismissal.

      Switching Dates and/or Refunds

If requested before April 1st, the optional $33 per week Cancellation Insurance purchased during registration will grant the Parent a choice of a 100% tuition refund or free switches to available sessions during the current summer.

Or the Parent may request a 75% refund if an insured camp week is cancelled between April 1st and 10-days before any whole weeks not being attended, or the Parent may instead request ONE last free switch to an available camp session in the current summer.

Requests for switches, refunds or credits are not available if within 10-days before each insured week. So please email claire@tribalwisdomacademy.com at least 10-days before the purchased camp session to use your policy. (Getting a date switch is more likely if you email much earlier).

Also note that more than one successful switch requested between April 1st and 10-days before any whole weeks registered has a fee of $40. per insured camp session, per camper.

If Cancellation Insurance was NOT purchased, then no refund or credit is available. Although the Parent may email Claire to request a summer 2022 date switch if at least 10-days before the registered camp. Each successful switch for uninsured camps will incur a $50. fee per session, per camper. Availability of sessions is not guaranteed.

      Tuition Payment

Tuition and fees are agreed to be the reasonable amount as and for liquidated damages. If tuition is not paid as per the schedule of payment, discount credits will not apply and enrollment may be canceled. Parents must pay tuition in full (by check, PayPal, invoice or online payment) at least one (1) day before the start of any week, unless as scheduled in a payment plan that may extend beyond the program dates and in such case full payment is due as scheduled.

      Additional Terms

This Contract constitutes the full understanding of the parties hereto and no change, modification, or waiver of any of the terms shall be effective unless in writing and signed by all parties. Any parent consenting to this Contract acknowledges that he/she is acting as an agent of the non-signing parent, has the authority to enroll the child(ren) at TWA, and to execute this agreement on behalf of the non-signing parent. This Contract is binding and any dispute between parents shall not affect TWA’s right to enforce the Contract.

The parties hereby agree that arbitration shall be the exclusive method by which to resolve any claims related to this Contract and/or TWA’s programs, and specifically agree that they will not file a lawsuit in court to pursue any claims.  Arbitration shall be final and binding upon the Parties.  THE PARTIES HEREBY WAIVE ANY RIGHTS THEY MAY HAVE TO TRIAL BY JUDGE and/or JURY IN REGARD TO ARBITRABLE CLAIMS. For purposes of this Contract, the term “Arbitrable Claims” shall be deemed not to include any claims which by law cannot be subject to a contractual requirement of mandatory binding arbitration, but otherwise applies to all claims arising out of, related to or connected with this Contract and/or TWA and its programs.

Binding arbitration under this Agreement shall be conducted in Santa Clara County, California before a neutral arbitrator selected and agreed to by both Parties. The parties understand and agree that they will split the cost of the arbitrator’s fee so that each party is responsible for paying equal amounts for the arbitration.  The parties shall each pay their own attorneys’ fees and costs incurred in connection with the arbitration, and the arbitrator will not have the authority to award attorneys’ fees unless a statute or contract at issue in the dispute authorizes the award of attorneys’ fees, in which case the arbitrator shall have the authority to make an award of attorneys’ fees as required or permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in this Contract shall prevent the parties from mutually agreeing to submit their dispute to mediation.  If the dispute is not resolved through mediation, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration pursuant to the terms of this Contract.
