  • Welcome to the City of Asheville Development Services Department's (DSD) online Annual Contractor License Renewal form. 

    Use this form to notify DSD of your Annual Contractor License Renewal. 

    All licenses issued by the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors and the State Board of Examiners of Plumbing, Heating and Fire Sprinkler Contractors expire on December 31st.

    The DSD database does not automatically connect to the state license database. To avoid suspension of DSD's online services on December 31st, use this form to update your renewed license information.

    If DSD is not notified, your access will be suspended, preventing you from scheduling inspections or requesting stand-alone permits until our system is updated.

    If your business holds multiple licenses, please submit a separate form for each license renewal.
