  • We advise students abroad to apply 6-8 weeks before the desired starting date. Please complete entire application in English and BLOCK CAPITAL LETTERS. You may email all inquires and documents to info@highexpectationsusa.com.

    1. Completed and signed application for admission and contract. (If you are under 18 years of age, your parent or guardian must also sign.)
    2. Copy of biographical page of your passport (if you are already in the US, please include a copy of your current visa and I-94 card).
    3. Financial support documentation (current bank statement or sponsorship letter, in ENGLISH, stating sufficient funds for the minimum duration of your studies at High Expectations.)

  • Once accepted to one of our programs, we will send you an I-20 Form - Certificate of Eligibility to apply for the student visa (if requested) and an orientation package. The orientation package will give you more information about next steps. If you are applying from abroad, you will receive instructions on how to apply for a student visa (F-1) at the US consulate and information about your arrival in the US. If you are currently in the US, our international student advisor is available to answer any questions and/or concerns you may have about changing your immigration status to student (F1) or about transferring your SEVIS record to High Expectations. All new F-1 visa applicants are required by the Department of Homeland Security to pay a one-time SEVIS fee of $350 directly to immigration via the internet or mail.

  • You and/or the person who is financially responsible for you must read and sign the statement below and include with this application either a current bank statement or a letter from the bank, in ENGLISH, certifying that sufficient funds will be available to meet your school and living expenses while in the United States. High Expectations can also accept a letter guaranteeing financial support from your employer or an original scholarship letter from your government or another organization.

  • High Expectations accepts credit cards, debit cards, traveler’s checks, personal check, wire transfers, and money orders. If you decide to send us a wire transfer, please send a copy of the receipt with your application. All fees applied to wire transfers must be paid by the student.

  • Intensive English Language Program Contract

  • TUITION AND FEES

    Student agrees to pay High Expectations the Program fee for all services pertaining to this agreement as follows:

    - Application/Registration fee: $250
    - I-901 SEVIS fee: $350
    - Tuition: $1500 per session
    - Additional fees: Books are required for each course and will be distributed on the first day of class. Students are responsible for payment of book fees prior to the start of the session.

     

    REFUND POLICY

    1. Tuition payments are non-refundable after the start of the session.
    2. A student who enrolls for a session is responsible for full payment of the session ($1,500), even if a transfer is requested.
    3. If High Expectations cancels a program after enrollment, students shall receive a full refund for tuition, books, materials and activities. 
    4. High Expectations does not accept responsibility for costs incurred due to flight delays or cancellations. 
    5. Refunds or partial refunds are not given for public holidays, for days missed during the program or for late arrival or early departure. 
    6. If High Expectations cancels a student’s enrollment due his or her unsatisfactory attendance or unacceptable behavior, according to the USCIS requirements for international students, no refunds shall be made. 
    7. The student is responsible for international bank transaction fees. 

     

    REFUND PROCEDURE 

    1. A request to cancel an enrollment or a refund, must be made in writing to the Admissions Officer. Any refund will be paid directly to the person who originally paid the program fees. 
    2. If a refund is approved, the funds will be transferred to the original account within 14 days of approval. Refund method will be the same as the original payment method. 
    3. Students may submit a formal grievance within 30 days of receipt of notice of denial of their refund. Grievances must be submitted in writing to the school Director. After consideration of all available evidence, the Director may: (1) issue a refund of the appropriate amount, or (2) dismiss the grievance. 

     

    PAYMENT

    1. Students are allowed to pay for the session in three monthly installments of $500.
    2. Books, materials, and activity fees are not included in tuition.
    3. The first tuition payment and course book fee are due prior to the start of the session. Thereafter, monthly tuition payments are due on the 1st of each month.
    4. Failure to make timely payment will result in automatic termination from the program and, consequently, termination of F1 visa status.
    5. Students who withdraw or transfer after the start of the session are responsible to pay the full cost of the session. 
    6. Students can make tuition payments in-person by cash, credit card or through Zelle.

     

    PUBLICITY RIGHTS

    Student hereby grants High Expectations, its website (www.highexpectationsusa.com) and /or it assigns, specific permission to: copyright, publish, distribute and/or display images or video of the student's likeness.

     

    SEPARATION

    Prior to the last day of classes at High Expectations, students are required to complete an exit evaluation and satisfy any outstanding balance to receive a Certificate of Attendance and to ensure timely SEVIS reporting.

    Students who withdraw from the program prior to completion may be subject to an early termination fee.
