  • FRIDAY NIGHT SAILFEST!

It's FINALLY back! Sailfest returns to Shilshole Bay Marina & Seattle Sailing Club! Sailfest is a fun, FREE event hosted by Seattle Sailing Club & Sail Northwest.

What: An evening of fun sailboat races for every level of experience. After the races, participants are invited back to the promenade outside of Seattle Sailing Club for free hot dogs, beer, wine, and and the famous Sailfest raffle!
    When: Friday evenings August 5th, 12th, 19th, & 26th @ 6PM.
Where: Check-in outside of Seattle Sailing Club @ 6PM for a boat assignment and a PFD. Head down to the boats to meet your skipper and the rest of your crew.
Who: Everyone is invited to participate in this event! We encourage boat owners to take their boat out to race and come back for our shoreside extravaganza. This is a hugely popular event and we have to cap the number of participants (who are going out on our boats) based off the number of volunteer skippers.

Registration for this event is mandatory for participation. If you need to add guests, you must let us know ahead of time.

    Looking for Volunteers

This summer we are looking for volunteers to help us run each Friday evening in August! From set-up, check-in, clean-up, cooking hot dogs and beverage serving/pouring, we could use an extra hand or 2. Let us know if you are interested in helping us out with one or some of these events below.

    PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS

Each participant will need to complete a Member Program Waiver and Upload their COVID vaccination record on the Waiver. Note: The waiver is only emailed to the person who registers. Please forward the email to your guests for completion.

    SKIPPERS NEEDED
As much as we would like to be able to invite everyone to be crew, we cannot run the event without members volunteering to skipper.

Registration is mandatory for guests, members, and students.

    GUEST LIMITS

    • Crew are limited to 1 Guests
    • Skippers are limited to 2 Guests, if you would like to bring more, please reserve your own SSC boat and include in the Title "Sailfest". If you have room for extra crew you want us to throw your way, include in the Title, "Sailfest - 2 Crew Spots Available"
    • Sailfest is a great way to practice your skippering skills and SSC staff will be present before and after the race to help with docking.
