In that case, you will still receive a response. Our goal is to ensure you get the best version of your tattoo, even if it means recommending a different artist or studio.

Topical lidocaine can cause skin reactions. It often makes the area more difficult to tattoo and can complicate the healing process. Some artists will not tattoo an area if lidocaine is used, some prefer not to and a few artists are open to using it.

You are welcome to provide a stock photo if you are not comfortable sharing a photo of the area on your body. The best resource for placement is a clear, straight on view photo of the area you would like the tattoo. If you are working around other tattoos, include multiple angles to clearly show the available space. You may require assistance to take a clear photo at a straight on angle. Feel free to draw a shape on the image for specificity. A blurry image or distorted angle will often prolong the consultation process.

We typically wait a minimum of one year to tattoo over scar tissue. We may wait longer depending on the severity. Tattooing over scar tissue that isn't fully healed can result in additional scar tissue and areas of the tattoo to fall out in the healing process.
