Utility Customer Assistance Funding
Stakeholders, including public and private utilities, Governor's Office, and Department of Commerce have worked together to develop a one-time customer relief grant program that will make it easy for utility customers to receive assistance and streamline the administrative process for the state to deploy funds. While $100 million was included in the Governor's proposed supplemental budget, the funding is not guaranteed unless the legislature agrees and includes it in their final budget.
Gathering updated arrearage data is critical in our advocacy for customer assistance funding. Please fill out this survey to the best of your ability ASAP, and no later than Friday, February 11.
