  • Workshop Information

  • If you have never presented for the ACCT Conference before, we thought it might be helpful for you to see the types of topics that have been previously offered. Please be aware that this is just a small sampling and is only to help stimulate your creativity.

Previous Pre-Conference Workshops (6 hours): Drama and the Compassionate Cycle of Innovation: Getting Unstuck; A Principle-Based Approach to Challenge Course, Aerial Park, and Canopy Tour Rescue Systems; Tree Biology, Structural Mechanics, and VTA for ACCT Practitioners; Personal Protective Equipment – Inspection, Maintenance, Management; Fun Stuff with Karl and Michelle; Social Media Strategies: More Than Facebook and Twitter.

Previous Post-Conference Workshops (3-4 hours): Designing a Profitable Zip Course; Physics on the High Ropes Course, Rope Games.

Previous Conference Workshops (90 min): The Positives Behind Negative Attention; Aerial Adventure Parks – Riding the Wave of Adventure; Using Uncertainty as a Facilitation Tool; Effective Debriefing Tools and Techniques; Building a Successful Local Operating Procedure for Your Facility; Best & Worst Marketing Efforts of 2012; New Development in Participant Agreements; Awesome Icebreakers & Energizers; Can’t Build That: Canopy Tour Regulations, Tree Bio-mechanics and Visual Tree Assessment.

Please realize that these are just samples to help guide you and are workshops that have already been offered. Therefore, please do not duplicate any of the above workshop titles. Thank you.

  • Non-English Presentations: Please submit your proposal (Workshop Title, Description and Learning Objectives) in your chosen language. This is how it will be promoted to attendees. Then, please provide the English translation for the Workshop Crew's internal use.

Thank you for taking the extra time to translate your work into the Workshop Crew's language. We appreciate your assistance.

  • Workshop Identifiers

Know your audience! This information will be included in all promotional materials in order to help your target audience find the appropriate workshops to attend.
  • Workshop Logistics

  • If you checked "Yes" above, please email melissa@acctinfo.org after you submit this form with your activity information.

  • Audio/Visual and Tech Information

  • We will attempt to accommodate all requests for audio visual equipment. Please note that AV equipment and packages are a cost to ACCT. If you request AV and your needs change, please inform the Workshop Coordinators ASAP as you could potentially save the Association money, and last minute changes may result in additional, sometimes expensive, hotel/convention center charges! All rooms will have flipchart paper on a stand, and markers.

Internet and Wi-Fi access cannot be guaranteed due to prohibitive costs and unpredictable signal/building issues. If you need access, you are welcome to attempt to use your own wifi hotspot and we may be able to help you set that up. Please plan accordingly and contact us if you have questions or concerns that we can help with.

  • In order to meet the demand for projectors, we are asking presenters who bring a projector to consider sharing their projector with others. Please only check these if you are comfortable loaning your equipment to a room for a good portion of the conference. We will attempt to have yours in your room, if you need it/request it. Please check the appropriate box above if you need a screen setup for your presentation so you are put in a room with one; providing a projector to share does NOT mean you don't need a room with the proper set power cart and screen set up.

  • Are you sure? Because that's awesome and selfless of you to bring a projector that other people will use, but not checking that you need a screen means that your workshop will be put in a room without a projector, without a screen, and without a table/cart with power, set at the right distance from the screen.
