This simple form is to confirm that you have a genuine need for this pricing level.
Our goal with tiered pricing is to promote equity for people of low economic means and/or historically oppressed or marginalized backgrounds. Those who pay at a Tier One price are paying less than the cost of putting on the event. We want this system to benefit people who are genuinely in need. For that reason, we are asking you to read the information below before confirming your need.

Carefully read the statements below.

A) Tier One is for those who identify with the following statement:

It is important for me or my child to attend, yet paying Tier Two—even in several monthly installments— will undermine our household’s ability to pay our rent, clothe ourselves, buy medicine, and otherwise meet our basic needs for survival.

*Note that this tier is for those experiencing true financial hardship. If Tier Two was the fixed price and you could pay it, Tier One is not for you.

B) Tier One is also for anyone of an historically marginalized or oppressed population who identifies with the following statement:

I, my family, or the people I identify with currently or historically feel the weight of marginalization or oppression. Although financially I identify as a Tier Two participant, the amount that I pay here helps to lessen the weight or burden of oppression.

*For those of marginalized or oppressed groups who are financially able to pay Tier Three or Four, we invite you--if you wish--to pay Tier Two or Three, respectively.

Note that, if you are unable to pay Tier Two pricing because paying it in full jeopardizes your ability to meet your basic needs, but you could do it if you paid in monthly installments, then Tier Two is the right place for you. Email us right away at center@cascadiaquest.org to setup a payment plan.

If you truly have need for Tier One pricing, you may also do so in installments. Our preference is that payments are complete before the start of a program. We will make acceptions on a case by case basis.
