Highlighting the many film and movie studios in the area, participating artists must work within our event theme and create work based on your favorite animated movie or television show.

Chalk Artists Rules and Regulations:

Artists: 7'x7' Spaces will be alloted for each participating artist and can be created by one or more artists (limit 4).

Material Restrictions: Participants must bring their own supplies including chalk, brushes or water. All chalk must be water-based.

Event Duration: Participating artists begin their murals Saturday and complete their murals on Sunday by 4pm, for a full two-day experience. Event hours are 11am to 6pm both days.

Stipend: A $100 stipend per artist space will be awarded to each selected artist. Note - if you work with partner(s), the stipend will be split between partners. You may also accept tips at your space.

Best In Show: Awards will be announced at 5pm on Sunday, June 4th, 2023. Award categories will include (1) Festival Best In Show determined by jury and (2) Festival Favorite determined by popular vote.

Promotion: Artist name and submitted images / website may be used in event promotion.

Additional Rules:

Drawings must remain within the designated square area. Drawings on buildings, trees, or any other surface are strictly prohibited.

This is a family event. All artwork must be suitable for public viewing. Artwork containing nudity, profanity, or content deemed inappropriate by the festival committee will be removed and the artist will be disqualified from the stipened.
I acknowledge that my artwork presented at the event must abide by event rules as stated above. Failure to comply by these rules or guidelines may be grounds for dismissal and loss of stipend.*
