All volunteers, even those who already have existing skills, are welcomed and encouraged to learn new skills. Are there new skills you are interested in learning at Colonial Pennsylvania Farmstead?
How frequently are you looking to volunteer? We generally ask for at least one day or 6 hours per month.
18th century period interpretation and historic skills demonstrations happen almost exclusively on the weekends. We appreciate people being available for the site's full hours of operation plus preparation time, approximately 10:30am-4pm. For volunteers interested in volunteering in this capacity please indicate whether you prefer Saturdays, Sundays, or both. You will not be locked into this choice, this answer reflects your general availability and preference. If you are not interested in period interpretation or historic skills demonstrations you can choose “not applicable”
Volunteer activities such as animal care, research, administrative work, site maintenance, and special events will have a more varied schedule. Please let us know what your general availability is. Are there certain days or times that you typically are or are not available? Are there a certain number of hours you are interested in doing each day?
