The Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame was established in 2000 by the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation.
The Hall of Fame is dedicated to honoring organizations, events, or venues that have brought significant recognition and distinction to the city and region through their success, impact on community and notable achievement.
It exists as well to salute and spotlight the city and area’s unique sports legacy, traditions and national reputation.
Nominees for induction must be located in, or have direct relations to services initiated or completed in the Greater Pikes Peak Region during their history.
The organization and/or event must have substantial notoriety and a strong presence in the Colorado Springs area. Defining moments in sport and specific events of singular importance are eligible. The nominee must also have known contributions to the growth of professional, collegiate, amateur, or high-school sports and/or have a longstanding reputation as a vehicle to enhance the sporting experience for spectators.
Once an organization or event has been nominated, they are eligible for five years. After five years, they must be nominated again in order to be considered for induction.
Nomination Procedures:
- Nominations must be received by the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation by February 1 for current nomination year. Nominations submitted after February 1 will be considered for the 2026 class.
- All nominations become property of Colorado Springs Sports Corporation and cannot be returned.
- Selections will be made by the Colorado Springs Sports Hall of Fame Selection Committee and announced by June 1.
