Renters Insurance Policy

I must maintain a personal property insurance policy to cover any losses sustained to my personal property or vehicle. It is acknowledged that the Landlord does not maintain this insurance to cover personal property damage or loss caused by fire, theft, rain, water overflow/leakage, acts of GOD, and/or any other causes. It is acknowledged that the Landlord is not liable for these occurrences. It is acknowledged that my insurance policy shall solely indemnify me for any losses sustained. My failure to maintain said policy shall be a complete waiver of my right to seek damages against the Landlord for the above-stated losses. I acknowledge that no additional personal security from criminal activities is implied in buildings where security gates are installed. These gates may be removed or rendered inoperable at any time. Their only intention is cosmetic. I understand that I must maintain an active renters insurance policy throughout the duration of my tenancy. A lapse in coverage is a non-curable breach of my rental agreement.
