Go through Before You Breed module 1, Before You Breed in A2Z.
Print and use the Before You Breed checklist today.
Find a repro vet, if you don't have one yet.
Finalize your choice of stud dog and confirm with his owner.
Get a current semen evaluation on the stud dog.
Put your girl on a diet that meets reproductive standards.
Get your bitch very fit, especially core, rear and front leg strength, flexibility, balance and proprioception.
A week or so before she is due in season, wipe her vulva with a tissue after she urinates. If you see color, update your A2Z calendar page (link here and below) for more accurate breeding guidance. (Days 5 - 30)
